Phineas and Ferb Busted - with lyrics

The most popular of the Busted! Investigations commercials

In Totally Tara! by Love Robin, Busted! Investigations is a Private Investigation firm, with "Busted!" stylized and trademarked with exclamation point and in Italics. They are reoccurring rivals against Team TARA.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Vanessa Doofenshmirtz and her partner Candace Flynn, frustrated in their individual attempts to respectively bust father and brothers, teamed up and opened the Busted! Investigations Private Detective Agency with the tag-line "Our eyes are wise to all your lies!" in order to get some practice and successes in busting others under their belts with the eventual goal of applying their experiences to busting their respective elusive relatives.

Stacey Hirano, their friend and part-time associate, helps out in a technical support capacity as well as with a seemingly inexhaustible resource of relatives nation- and world-wide.

Rivalry[edit | edit source]

Busted! Investigations first faced off against Team TARA when a panicked Mr Paisley simultaneously hired both firms to retrieve a valuable King FlamingoatCuddle Buddy which had been stolen and held for ransom.

The more physically adept of the duo, Vanessa is the one who most often goes toe-to-toe against Tara Queen whenever things come down to a physical contest of oneupmanship to achieving their goals, while Candace's obsessively prying nature usually manages to worry clues out of situations to put them on the right track to solving a crime or mystery.

Commercials[edit | edit source]

Thanks to generous funding from Vanessa's mother, Charlene Doofenshmirtz, they did a few commercials advertising their firm. The first, in which they sing their theme song as a duet, is still the most popular one on the air and internet.

Difference from Canon[edit | edit source]

  • Only in that Vanessa and Candace openly partner up. Although in usual Love Robin style, there are hints of a smoldering bi-curiosity tension between them.
  • Stacey's unrequited desire to "tap" Candace is dialed up a bit too.
