Background
  +
Diane was born 15 minutes before her brother, establishing her as the older of the two. When the two were young, they would often be told by their parents about their crime-fighting adventures throughout the world. The young Diane was fascinated at the wide variety of tech her parents encountered throughout their world-saving duties, motivating her to . Even at a young age, Diane had begun demonstrating her latent genius, already solving complex mathematical questions in mere hours and making highly-advanced gadgets using nothing but mundane household appliances.
  +
  +
Diane would often be targeted by school bullies, who not only made fun of her, but also dismissed the young girl as incapable of stepping up to Kim's level. Fortunately, she would be defended by Dan, who would tell his sister's aggressors to back off, but not without cracking up jokes at their expense. Even with Dan by her side and her family's genuine assurance, Diane has begun to have concerns about her reputation, and she gradually becomes insecure, unsure if she can live up to her folks. At some point in her elementary days, the twins would meet and befriend Solange, the daughter of their mother's friend Monique.
  +
  +
When Dan discovered the Mystical Monkey Powers he inherited from Ron, she would accompany him and their Aunt Hana to the Yamanouchi Ninja Academy in Japan. There, it took a considerable amount of time for Diane to adapt to the academy's somewhat spartan curriculum, along with the culture shock of being a foreign student in its ranks.

Personality
Personality
  +
Diane is an intelligent yet headstrong young woman who wants to be recognized by her own talents and achievements independent of being related to her parents, especially Kim. She is driven to accomplish what she's good at in hopes that it might convince people to perceive her as someone capable of incredible feats in the same league as her folks.
...

  +
Abilities
  +
Her first and foremost characteristic is her gifted intelligence. Diane loves taking on challenges that put her intellect to the test, merely wanting to note the extent of her genius. Outside of thrilling and challenging incidents that put her mind in a competitive state, she mostly displays her brilliance in the many creations she has built throughout her life. Consistency is something she rarely adheres to regarding the progress of her contraptions, leaving them unfinished by the time a new idea pops up in her mind. She abhors selling her unfinished projects, taking into account the many scientists who have their tech stolen—something the young woman wants to avoid.
<b><u>Above-Average Condition</u></b>: ....

  +
  +
Diane strives to improve her skills and knowledge as a technological prodigy, and enemies possessing cutting-edge or experimental tech are usually a great source to fuel her motivation. Anything of technological value her adversaries possess leads to Diane sarcastically asking if she can borrow their arsenal just for a quick peek. She possess standards when it comes to gadgetry,
  +
  +
Aside from being intelligent, Diane is a withdrawn and snarky individual who sees the world through jade-tinted glasses. The numerous times she was reminded to be like her mother, even stepping up to Kim's league, had driven the young genius to adopt a pessimistic view of how things come and go in her surroundings. She has a limited social circle, restricted to her family and certain friends such as Angie, and strangers are often intimidated by her casual, dour look. The bulk of Diane's free time is mostly dedicated in tinkering with her gadgets. She makes sneering potshots at the recurring cliches and tropes prevalent between the heroes and the villains, not even her parents and their allies are safe from her sarcastic remarks.
  +
  +
Diane has a clear disregard with the tradition both the heroes and villains follow in their encounters. She gets irritated and vexed whenever a villain she and Team Unstoppable are dispatched to stop insists on sticking to the dynamics between the good and bad guys. She exasperates at the sight of Dan or Angie partaking antics with their adversaries, but she seems to tolerate them despite seeing little to no value with the mission.
  +
  +
Offsetting her pessimism is her genuine need to do good and help others, a trait passed down from Kim. According to her brother, Diane joined C.L.U.B. mostly to a name for herself, but deep down, she genuinely wants to help those who cannot defend themselves. Her strong morals will convince her to forfeit going after the enemy if there are innocent bystanders facing imminent danger.
  +
  +
While she can be bragadoccio about her inventions, she is aware of those scientifically and technologically inferior than her, prompting to explain how her gadgets work in the most simplest terms, even as to replace technical jargons with certain words or phrases that are comparable to them. Diane even detests the technobabble trend smart characters often bring up when discussing technological matters, deeming it as too braggy and looking less intelligent than she is.
  +
  +
She has been recommended by the faculty at Middleton High, mostly Mr. Barkin, to help tutor students struggling with science and mathematics. Pessimistic views notwithstanding, various students remarked that Diane would be a decent tutor if one could endure her cynical and grouchy behavior.
  +
  +
Despite her own lack of self-confidence in living up to her mother, Diane takes great pride in her lineage, comparing her family with the mythological heroes who descend from the gods themselves. She sometimes seeks out Kim for advise on whatever she is currently going through as a GJ agent, although in a manner that conceals her position in C.L.U.B.'s workforce. She has a much lighter side towards Ron, however, genuinely laughing at her father's jokes or quirks, regardless of how awfully cheesy or embarrassing they are. This is reinforced by her tendency to say "Booyah" if she has accomplished something significant.

  +
Primary Equipment
  +
*<b>Grease Monkey</b>: Diane's signature weapon. It is a cutting-edge polearm comprising of unique nanobots held together by a magnetic force that only responds to the Neutralizer's vibrations. Grease Monkey has four configurations which Diane can freely access, starting from its default staff mode and changing into either its blaster or whip forms. When not in use, Grease Monkey reverts into a bar kept inside its owner's pockets.
  +
**HB2 (Hicka-Bicka-Boo) & Hooshaw Mode: Grease Monkey's dual pistol form. The pistols can rapidly fire up to 30-45 shots but they inflict average damage compared to its other firearm-based modes. Diane commonly wields them in fighting enemies in close-combat, despite her lack of unarmed proficiency.
  +
**Blaster Mode: Grease Monkey's assault blaster mode. Blaster Mode fires off energy-based shots using the vibrations generated by the nanobots. It has a limit of 30 blasts before the nanobot undergo a cooldown period to reload the shots. The mode can also charge up shots before firing for increased damage.
  +
**Sniper Mode: Grease Monkey's tetiary firearm mode for long-distance precision shooting. This form boasts great range and excellent firepower over targets at the cost of being limited to five rounds and a strong recoil that come from the shots.
  +
**Whip Mode: By relaxing the bond between the nanobots in its staff mode, Grease Monkey's collapsible form allows it to lash or sweep enemies from a distance and close in on targets by latching the whip at them. Diane can wield the whip defensively by rapidly spinning in front of it. This mode also acts as a secondary grappling hook but witg a shorter reach than the one built within her Neutralizer.
  +
  +
*<b>Neutralizer</b>: An experimental vibro-gauntlet capable of producing controllable vibrations that can be utilized for versatile purposes, shifting Grease Monkey's forms being the most common one. The gauntlet serves as Diane's key weapon in taking down unsuspecting enemies during stealth missions. Throughout the course of the story, the gauntlet has seen improvements and additions, including:
  +
**Grappling Hook: The Neutralizer's grappling hook allows Diane to scale buildings and tall structures. It can also be used offensively, latching onto a targeted enemy then pulling them towards within her range.
  +
**Tesla-Lite Launcher: A sleek compartment that shoots Tesla-Lites that were loaded into its chamber. A Tesla-Lite's range is shorted when fired off from the launcher but the better precision compensates it. Ensuring that hit their target, Tesla-Lites are fired in their compact forms rather than the circular, chakram-based modes they assume whenever Diane throws one at the target.
  +
  +
*Tesla-Lites: These are collapsible throwing weapons, akin to a chakram, used in the same manner as a ninja's shuriken. Tesla-Lites have a unique, magnetic alloy that automatically home in on targets with anything metallic on them.
  +
**Knockout: Releases a cloud of sleeping gas upon hit, knocking out anyone within a small radius.
  +
**Rage: Sends anyone struck by it into a raging frenzy that indiscriminately attacks anything the target sees. The gas is laced with micro-bots that enable non-organic targets to go in the same frenzy as with biological victims.
  +
**Firecracker: Ignites a loud, crackling noise that lures anyone within an earshot. Using it in front of someone will deafen them temporarily, leaving them open to attacks.
  +
**Soundburst: Produces a loud, concussive blast that destroys any breakable obstacles up ahead. When used against groups of foes, the ensuing blast can knock them away.
  +
**Vibro-Shock: Discharges a surge of electrical vibrations that worsens the senses of those who were struck by one. When used on mechanical or electrical equipment,
  +
*Mirage Drones: These remote-controlled drones have been fitted with a wormhole device that opens up a small rift upon being deployed. The rifts act as extensions for Grease Monkey's shots to be fired from unseen or odd angles. True to their name, the drones immediately blend with the surface they are deployed on, as long as the rift is still open.
  +
*Panda-Roid: Small, miniature robots resembling the Pandaroo plush toy.

  +
Auxiliary Equipment
* Acrobatic Proficiency: ....

  +
*Impossi-Drone: A mechanical suit standing at 9 feet designed to take on the larger and more dangerous adversaries H.A.U.S. have at their disposal. While it can be set on auto mode to fight independently, the exosuit is most effective when it is being piloted manually. While it was successfully piloted during its trial run, the exosuit was too much for Diane to handle, resulting in fatigue accompanied by a splitting headache. The suit is then relegated to either Dan or Helga because of their top-notch physiology.
* Speed & Reflexes: ....

  +
*Free Bird: A football-based gadget that harnesses centrifugal energy after being thrown, and how much of the said energy is amassed depends on the distance it has flown over. The device's cons outweigh its pros after several test runs with it, mainly on how it would go off-course once it has covered significant distance, prematurely displacing the harnessed energy as a consequence.

* Strength: ....

*Genius-Level Intellect: Diane has been complimented by her friends and family as a teen genius, with Kim commenting that she inherited her grandfather and uncles' intellect. Her prodigious mind allowed Diane to accomplish a number of feats in the technological and scientific fields, develop a variety of gadgets that can aid her or her teammates, come up with unorthodox strategies to outsmart enemies, and utilize the distinctive abilities of her teammates in creative ways.
  +
**Inventing Proficiency: Diane can create and modify any technological contraption on her hands with stellar proficiency. At five years old, Diane invented a universal remote that can override and take control of any electrical device using nothing but a broken remote and a bunch of random scraps in the basement. At her early teens, Diane developed her own brand of nanobots that can only be manipulated by the Neutralizer through its vibrations. She would, at times, invent new equipment for the team
  +
**Gadget Proficiency: Diane has keen mastery over the gadgets she has at her disposal. Diane takes into great detail with the attributes and weaknesses each gadget has.
  +
**Skilled Tactician: Diane is shown to be a crafty tactician. She can draw up strategies while on her feet that eventually lead her to make use of the environment against her enemies, in addition to exploiting the openings and weaknesses of their equipment and abilities. She also takes into account some of her teammates' niche abilities to create combination attacks that can catch enemies off guard. Diane's tactical finesse expands to employing non-offensive strategies, such as plotting a "battle of attrition" on any villainous lairs by either stealing precious resources or intercepting any major sources of their income.
  +
*Peak Physical Condition: While not on the same level as Kim, Dan, or Helga's, Diane possesses a fairly active physiology that makes her a capable fighter capable of fending off a variety of enemies on equal footing. Diane's condition favors speed and agility, honed by her daily parkour routine throughout Middleton and furthered during her time learning at Yamanouichi.
  +
**Speed & Agility: As described above, Diane is an agile fighter who can pull off complex movements to evade harm and confound enemies in close combat. She can freely navigate the rooftops, alleys and narrow passages throughout Middleton in a short amount of time. She can catch up to her targets in a pursuit with the aid of her gadgets.
  +
**Reflexes: Diane can react to actions and attacks faster than an average person. In battle, she uses Grease Monkey to parry incoming strikes, following it up with a swift counterattack or striking vital parts to temporarily stop an enemy from retaliating. She is fast enough to keep herself away from being struck down by ranged attacks, or alternatively, draw forth her staff the moment said attacks are within her reach to immediately deflect them.
  +
*Vibration Inducement (via Neutralizer): Diane can tremble her gauntlet to manipulate vibrations for a number of uses. She channels the vibrations to change her staff between its forms. Diane can utilize the vibrations on their own, using them to deliver swift cuts or enhance her punches, despite unarmed combat not being her forte. In stealth missions, Diane weaponizes low-powered vibrations to catch guards or sentries unaware by knocking them cold or disabling them, respectively.
  +
*Staff Proficiency: During her time at the Yamanouichi Ninja Academy, Diane has developed an outstanding yet unorthodox skill in Bojutsu, the art of staff wielding. She enhances her proficiency with staves by employing spear-based techniques in the form of fast-paced thrusts, or even unorthodox techniques such as firmly gripping its tip to extend its reach when striking enemies.
  +
*Stealth Proficiency: Diane has proficiency in infiltrating and sneaking into places of high security. Her liberal use of her gadgets can make her sneaking missions easier for the team to bypass security measures and guards implemented within the area.
  +
*Marksmanship: Diane is an proficient marksman capable of firing targets from distant positions, even on points that are concealed when observed from afar.

Weaknesses
MMP Techniques
  +
*Equipment-dependent: In stark contrast to her parents and Dan, Diane is so heavily dependent on her equipment that she is forced to rely on her wits and athletic ability if she has been sufficiently disarmed. Iori mentions that her skill in hand-to-hand combat stagnates as long as she continues to rely on her equipment.
<u>Monkey See, Monkey Do</u>: A portion of Ron's Mystical Monkey Power was passed down onto Joni, granting her supernatural powers related to her sight. Whenever she taps into her innate powers, her eyes emit a faint blue-glow.

  +
*Gadgets: It should be noted that Diane is susceptible to the adverse effects of her own gadgets if she is not cautious enough with their use. Her gauntlet can afflict her with nausea if the vibrations are configured at high levels; certain Tesla-Lites can enfeeble her if she is not too careful; and the Mirage Drones' energy signatures lead enemies to where Diane is currently situated.
  +
*Pride: Although not to the same extent as Dan's, Diane takes her pride quite seriously, as she craves the attention of her efforts alone without the influence of her mother. Her ego can also get the best of her whenever she tries to do something only Kim Possible can.
  +
*<b>Insecurity</b>: Diane can be exploited into lowering her guard if her enemies try to compare her with her parents, especially when contrasted by Kim. She can get antsy to the point of blind recklessness whenever someone tries to compare her skills with Kim's.
  +
*Poor Social Skills: Diane is not much of a people person; her poor social understanding can get her struggling to mingle with others outside of her brother or her team. She becomes unnerved whenever someone she is unfamiliar with touches her, to the point of punching out of self-defense. However, she begins to open herself up towards others, becoming more trusting, as the series progresses.

I like being the smart girl but I disagree with the "requirements" of using technical and field-related exclusive terminology just to show off how smart I am. There comes the times you and the team will use my stuff without me, so I prefer to give them the facts straight and simple.
— Diane, to Dan during an infiltrating mission.

She doesn't want to be associated with Kim not because she's her mom. She doesn't want to be associated because she is hungry, starving to accomplish something that others will see her separate from Ms. Possible's influence. An aspect I can commend her for that.

Diane Kimberly P. Stoppable is the daughter of the famous crime-fighting duo, Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable. She, along with Dan, is one of the main protagonists of The Unstoppables.

A young genius and the eldest daughter of world-famous crimefighters Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable, Diane faces growing pressure from others to step up to the same league as her parents that she strives to achieve independent recognition with her own achievements.

Upon being recruited into C.L.U.B.'s inner workings, Diane leads Team Unstoppable in undercover missions that pit them with the forces of H.A.U.S., and alien super-beings such as the Proto-Wardians.

Personality[]

Diane is an intelligent yet headstrong young woman who wants to be recognized by her own talents and achievements independent of being related to her parents, especially Kim. She is driven to accomplish what she's good at in hopes that it might convince people to perceive her as someone capable of incredible feats in the same league as her folks.

She has been recommended by the faculty at Middleton High, mostly Mr. Barkin, to help tutor students struggling with science and mathematics. Pessimistic views notwithstanding, various students remarked that Diane would be a decent tutor if one could endure her cynical and grouchy behavior.

Primary Equipment[]

  • Grease Monkey: Diane's signature weapon.
    • HB2 (Hicka-Bicka-Boo) & Hooshaw Mode: Grease Monkey's dual pistol form. The pistols can rapidly fire up to 30-45 shots but they inflict average damage compared to its other firearm-based modes. Diane commonly wields them in fighting enemies in close-combat, despite her lack of unarmed proficiency.
    • Blaster Mode: Grease Monkey's assault blaster mode. Blaster Mode fires off energy-based shots using the vibrations generated by the nanobots. It has a limit of 30 blasts before the nanobot undergo a cooldown period to reload the shots. The mode can also charge up shots before firing for increased damage.
    • Sniper Mode: Grease Monkey's tetiary firearm mode for long-distance precision shooting. This form boasts great range and excellent firepower over targets at the cost of being limited to five rounds and a strong recoil that come from the shots.
    • Whip Mode: By relaxing the bond between the nanobots in its staff mode, Grease Monkey's collapsible form allows it to lash or sweep enemies from a distance and close in on targets by latching the whip at them. Diane can wield the whip defensively by rapidly spinning in front of it. This mode also acts as a secondary grappling hook but witg a shorter reach than the one built within her Neutralizer.
  • Neutralizer: An experimental vibro-gauntlet capable of producing controllable vibrations that can be utilized for versatile purposes, shifting Grease Monkey's forms being the most common one. The gauntlet serves as Diane's key weapon in taking down unsuspecting enemies during stealth missions. Throughout the course of the story, the gauntlet has seen improvements and additions, including:
    • Grappling Hook: The Neutralizer's grappling hook allows Diane to scale buildings and tall structures. It can also be used offensively, latching onto a targeted enemy then pulling them towards within her range.
    • Tesla-Lite Launcher: A sleek compartment that shoots Tesla-Lites that were loaded into its chamber. A Tesla-Lite's range is shorted when fired off from the launcher but the better precision compensates it. Ensuring that hit their target, Tesla-Lites are fired in their compact forms rather than the circular, chakram-based modes they assume whenever Diane throws one at the target.
  • Tesla-Lites: These are collapsible throwing weapons, akin to a chakram, used in the same manner as a ninja's shuriken. Tesla-Lites have a unique, magnetic alloy that automatically home in on targets with anything metallic on them.
    • Knockout: Releases a cloud of sleeping gas upon hit, knocking out anyone within a small radius.
    • Rage: Sends anyone struck by it into a raging frenzy that indiscriminately attacks anything the target sees. The gas is laced with micro-bots that enable non-organic targets to go in the same frenzy as with biological victims.
    • Firecracker: Ignites a loud, crackling noise that lures anyone within an earshot. Using it in front of someone will deafen them temporarily, leaving them open to attacks.
    • Soundburst: Produces a loud, concussive blast that destroys any breakable obstacles up ahead. When used against groups of foes, the ensuing blast can knock them away.
    • Vibro-Shock: Discharges a surge of electrical vibrations that worsens the senses of those who were struck by one. When used on mechanical or electrical equipment,
  • Mirage Drones: These remote-controlled drones have been fitted with a wormhole device that opens up a small rift upon being deployed. The rifts act as extensions for Grease Monkey's shots to be fired from unseen or odd angles. True to their name, the drones immediately blend with the surface they are deployed on, as long as the rift is still open.
  • Panda-Roid: Small, miniature robots resembling the Pandaroo plush toy.

Auxiliary Equipment[]

  • Impossi-Drone: A mechanical suit standing at 9 feet designed to take on the larger and more dangerous adversaries H.A.U.S. have at their disposal.
  • Free Bird: A football-based gadget that harnesses centrifugal energy after being thrown, and how much of the said energy is amassed depends on the distance it has flown over. The device's cons outweigh its pros after several test runs with it, mainly on how it would go off-course once it has covered significant distance, prematurely displacing the harnessed energy as a consequence.

Abilities[]

Combat-Based[]

  • Genius-Level Intellect: Diane has been complimented by her friends and family as a teen genius, with Kim commenting that she inherited her grandfather and uncles' intellect. Her prodigious mind allowed Diane to accomplish a number of feats in the technological and scientific fields, develop a variety of gadgets that can aid her or her teammates, come up with unorthodox strategies to outsmart enemies, and utilize the distinctive abilities of her teammates in creative ways.
    • Inventing Proficiency: Diane can create and modify any technological contraption on her hands with stellar proficiency.
    • Gadget Proficiency: Diane has keen mastery over the gadgets she has at her disposal. Diane takes into great detail with the attributes and weaknesses each gadget has.
    • Skilled Tactician: Diane is shown to be a crafty tactician.
  • Peak Physical Condition: While not on the same level as Kim, Dan, or Helga's, Diane possesses a fairly active physiology that makes her a capable fighter capable of fending off a variety of enemies on equal footing. Diane's condition favors speed and agility, honed by her daily parkour routine throughout Middleton and furthered during her time learning at Yamanouichi.
    • Speed & Agility: As described above, Diane is an agile fighter who can pull off complex movements to evade harm and confound enemies in close combat. She can freely navigate the rooftops, alleys and narrow passages throughout Middleton in a short amount of time. She can catch up to her targets in a pursuit with the aid of her gadgets.
    • Reflexes: Diane can react to actions and attacks faster than an average person.
  • Vibration Inducement (via Neutralizer): Diane can tremble her gauntlet to manipulate vibrations for a number of uses.
  • Staff Proficiency: During her time at the Yamanouichi Ninja Academy, Diane has developed an outstanding yet unorthodox skill in Bojutsu, the art of staff wielding. She enhances her proficiency with staves by employing spear-based techniques in the form of fast-paced thrusts, or even unorthodox techniques such as firmly gripping its tip to extend its reach when striking enemies.
  • Stealth Proficiency: Diane has proficiency in infiltrating and sneaking into places of high security. Her liberal use of her gadgets can make her sneaking missions easier for the team to bypass security measures and guards implemented within the area.
  • Marksmanship: Diane is an proficient marksman capable of firing targets from distant positions, even on points that are concealed when observed from afar.

Personal[]

  • Skilled Musician: ....

Weaknesses[]

  • Equipment-dependent: In stark contrast to her parents and Dan, Diane is so heavily dependent on her equipment that she is forced to rely on her wits and athletic ability if she has been sufficiently disarmed. Iori mentions that her skill in hand-to-hand combat stagnates as long as she continues to rely on her equipment.
  • Gadgets: It should be noted that Diane is susceptible to the adverse effects of her own gadgets if she is not cautious enough with their use. Her gauntlet can afflict her with nausea if the vibrations are configured at high levels; certain Tesla-Lites can enfeeble her if she is not too careful; and the Mirage Drones' energy signatures lead enemies to where Diane is currently situated.
  • Pride: Although not to the same extent as Dan's, Diane takes her pride quite seriously, as she craves the attention of her efforts alone without the influence of her mother. Her ego can also get the best of her whenever she tries to do something only Kim Possible can.
  • Insecurity: Diane can be exploited into lowering her guard if her enemies try to compare her with her parents, especially when contrasted by Kim. She can get antsy to the point of blind recklessness whenever someone tries to compare her skills with Kim's.
  • Poor Social Skills: Diane is not much of a people person; her poor social understanding can get her struggling to mingle with others outside of her brother or her team. She becomes unnerved whenever someone she is unfamiliar with touches her, to the point of punching out of self-defense. However, she begins to open herself up towards others, becoming more trusting, as the series progresses.
