Summary[]
During a visit with her four children inside their treehouse following his daughter Sheila's college graduation, he expressed severe disappointment in the rest of his children for not living up to her potential and stormed out. Shortly after, the treehouse was struck by a mysterious rainbow-colored comet that infuses the other family members with superpowers. He is hit by the aftershock of the explosion and seemingly killed.
